On the outskirts of Birmingham, The Deadly Circus now lies abandoned, shunned by the locals.
When the circus first arrived in town it seemed like any other travelling show, but the longer it stayed, the more the local’s curiosity turned to discomfort. Rumours spread that the performers weren’t entirely human. They didn’t sleep, didn’t eat, didn’t seem to age. The locals began to refer to the performers as “freaks” and tried to run them out of town, until eventually a fire tore through the circus grounds and the performers were never seen again. That was decades ago, and the circus grounds have lain empty ever since.
Over the past few months new rumours have started to circulate about the circus site. Locals claim to have heard music, seen lights, and even heard crowds cheering from the abandoned site at night. Posters have started mysteriously appearing around the city, inviting people to the circus ground for a one night only extravaganza, exactly 50 years on from the night it was burnt down.

Dress code: Alternative formalwear. Evening gowns, cocktail dresses, tuxedos, tailored suits, or period-inspired ensembles are all appropriate, and we strongly encourage an alternative edge. Chains and platform boots welcome. Please avoid items with sharp spikes, venue security may ask you to remove any such items.
